Flying geese soaring through a blue sky over fields of green and gold are what this
quilt brings to mind, if you know that the curved strip of triangles is called flying
geese. Freeform quilting involves a lot of doodling, randomly dividing a space into
many parts, and filling the resulting segments with patterns. Although most of the
curves are merely covered with bias strips, some of the sections include curved piecing.
